Position: Software Test Engineer

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Software Test Engineer with a strong background in both manual testing and automation testing. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in software testing, a passion for ensuring high-quality software delivery, and the ability to work with both manual test cases and automated testing tools. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and executing tests to identify software defects, ensuring functionality, and maintaining test automation scripts.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing software requirements and preparing test scenarios.
- Executing tests on software usability.
- Analyzing test results on database impacts, errors or bugs, and usability.
- Preparing reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and reporting to the design team.
- Interacting with clients to understand product requirements.
- Participating in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- Must have prior experience as a software tester.
- Execute comprehensive manual testing including functional, integration, smoke, and exploratory testing to validate software features and workflows.
- Identify, document, and report defects using tools like Jira or TestRail.
- Ensure thorough testing for user interfaces (UI), user experience (UX), and other manual test scenarios.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, or API testing using tools such as Selenium, Katalon Studio, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or other appropriate automation tools.
- Integrate automated test scripts into CI/CD pipelines to streamline testing and support continuous deployment.
- Monitor and report results of automated tests, ensuring they align with project timelines and quality standards.
- Up-to-date knowledge of software test design and testing methodologies.
- Working knowledge of test techniques and compatibility with various software programs.
- Good to have Working knowledge of programming.
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
- Good organizational skills and detail-oriented mindset.
